Marital rape is still abuse in it's worst form and men who abuse their wives sexually should get the same punishment as those who sexually abuse other women. There shouldn't be any protection of the offender.

Sexual violence is wrong, whether as part of a marriage contract or not. As part of a free country, no one should be forced to do anything they do not wish.

The idea that a husband can rape his wife and not be punished by law is abominable. This facet of the law is far outdated and does not protect women the way that they should be. Just because a man and woman may have been joined in marriage does not mean that he is entitled to conjugal rights. Both man and woman should be equal partners in the marriage.
