Doesn't matter if a lady is married or not. Rape is rape.

I am not sure whether my signature counts as I am not PR (yet) but I just feel I need to support this as I`ve been living and working here for the past 5 years of my life.

Rape, no matter what the reason, is still rape.

The marital rape exception is an abominable anachronism, based on an outmoded interpretation of the common law. Nearly 20 years ago, the English Courts got rid of it for exactly that reason, and there's no reason for us to retain it, either. Rape is rape. No ifs, ands or buts, and no exceptions.

Men, if no woman wants to have sex with you, it is no one's fault but your own.

Through modernisation and globalisation, there has been an increased fight for the right to equality. In light of this, the feminist movement has greatly reduced the extent of patriarchy in most parts of the developed world. For Singapore to be a truly modern society, we should follow many other countries in repealing this law. Women should have a right to their own bodies and in reproduction. The presence of this law will only serve to promote patriarchy in the Singapore society.

Dear Prime Minister, it is time to repeal laws that are outdated and irrelevant to society. The basic rights of the people are the fundamental institution of the state, and it is only when we have equality amongst races and the protection of the vulnerable that can we truly call ourselves a First World Country.

Non-consensual sex in a marriage is definitely still rape.

It's ludicrous that it's technically still legal.
