I just found out that it is NOT a crime for a husband to rape his wife in Singapore. That is so shocking. A country like Singapore should not tolerate this kind of act. It is actually a family violence. I strongly oppose illegal rape to any wives.

The fact that law does not make marital rape clearly criminal is unbelievably antiquated and unjust. While there must be a pragmatic discussion on the issues arising from change of the law, such as abuse by disgruntled spouses, this should not be used as an excuse to keep the status co. If we’re a civil society our laws must reflect this.

A. Sign up if you believe you are not your husband's chattel or sex-slave.
B. Sign up if you think every married woman is a living breathing individual deserving respect just like any (1) non-married female or (ii) male.
C. Sign up if you believe getting hitched does not mean (i) you have lost you autonomy and/or (ii) you are prepared to lose your soul, your mind.
D. Sign up if you feel the law as it stands makes a mockery of the institution of marriage itself and the progress all suffragettes have made throughout the course of history.
