Earlier today, the petition was submitted to the Prime Minister by email. A hard copy of the signatures – standing at 3,609 after we went through them to remove spam – was also sent through the post. I’m sorry to have only come to know of this petition today. Sadly I feel that, there isn’t enough awareness brought about on this matter, else I know quite a lot of people who would agree to making marital rape a crime. Still, I think it is a commendable effort that the people organizing the petition, has done, and I hope to hear of any updates on this matter in the near future. Respect.
